Terms of Use for Wedding Countdown App

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wedding Countdown App and the weddingcountdown.app website (together, the "Services"). By downloading, installing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

Wedding Countdown is a countdown timer and wedding-planning app that lets you personalize a countdown to your wedding day using themes, your own photos, and background music. It also offers optional tools: a guest list manager, a budget and checklist tracker, and an invitation card creator. Most features work fully offline; some, such as the online theme and photo gallery and the Live Share feature, require an internet connection.

YOUR CONTENT

You retain ownership of any names, dates, photos, music, or other content you add to the app ("Your Content"). When you use a feature that shares Your Content -- such as generating a Live Share link so someone else can import your countdown, or recording and sharing a countdown video or image -- we transmit Your Content only as needed to provide that feature to you and to whoever you choose to share it with. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any photo or music you add, and for choosing who you share your countdown with.

ACCEPTABLE USE

When using the Services, you agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms;
  • Use the Live Share or invitation-sharing features to send unwanted or harassing content to another person;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation or security of the app;
  • Impersonate another person when sharing a countdown, invitation, or guest list.

We may suspend or restrict access to sharing features for anyone who misuses them.

PURCHASES AND BILLING

The core app -- the countdown timer, guest list, checklist, and invitation creator -- is free to use. Optional premium themes and the ad-removal upgrade are one-time, non-subscription in-app purchases processed through Google Play. Prices are set and displayed by Google Play in your local currency and may vary by country. All purchases are subject to Google Play's own billing and refund terms; we do not process payments ourselves and cannot override a Google Play billing decision.

SHARING TO THIRD-PARTY APPS

The Services let you share a countdown link, image, or video to apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, and let recipients open a Live Share link through the Google Play Store. We do not control these third-party apps or stores and are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Your use of any third-party app is governed by that app's own terms.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Services, including the app's design, themes, graphics, and underlying software, are ours or our licensors' and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logo, or branding outside of using the app as intended.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the countdown, reminders, or sharing features will always be free of errors or interruptions, and we are not responsible for a missed reminder, an inaccurate countdown caused by your device's clock or timezone settings, or a Live Share link that a recipient is unable to open.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services -- including loss of a countdown, guest list, or checklist data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

TERMINATION

You may stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the sharing features for anyone who violates these Terms.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time as the app's features change. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date below.

RELATIONSHIP TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

How we handle the information the app collects -- including what Live Share transmits and how your device permissions are used -- is described in our Privacy Policy, which applies alongside these Terms.
